CJC-1295 with DAC incorporates a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) — a maleimido-propionamide modification — that enables covalent and reversible binding to endogenous albumin following administration, dramatically extending plasma half-life to approximately six to eight days compared to the minutes-long activity of the non-DAC form. Human pharmacokinetic data from early clinical studies demonstrated dose-dependent increases in mean plasma GH lasting six or more days per injection, along with sustained IGF-1 elevations persisting up to 28 days with repeated dosing.
