BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a sequence found within human gastric juice. Research across multiple in vitro and in vivo rodent models has focused primarily on its pro-angiogenic and tissue repair properties, with studies demonstrating upregulation of VEGFR2 expression, activation of the Akt-eNOS signaling pathway, and promotion of endothelial cell migration.
